Hi Mike,
What if one match failed?
Than you will have serious imbalance...
Try 2 matches per motor.

I used my version of quick match in a way that will
allow the motors to ignite even if the system took
off. I don't think this will fit your needs, but I'll
specify anyway:

Each motor was fitted (tight fit) with a quick match
(two black matches in a masking type "tube". The ends
of the matches are joined and an aluminum foil (heavy
duty) cup, filled with granular BP holds the matches.
A (slow) black match is pre-inserted into the cup.
Upon ignition the slow match ignites the granular BP
in the cup and the quick matches. The granular BP
blows the cup and hence separates the link between the
matches. If a single match is a bit "late" and the
motor takes off - the match is attached to the motor,
and it can still ignite "on the way". I have tested
this several times using my small (1cm ID) motors and
it works perfectly - both for double and triple motor
sets.

On second thought - you could use a single match and
the cup concept...

Let me know how it goes,
Flint
