[BProckets] BP - ammonia smell???

Hi all,
I've just made a new batch of BP. 
I use the same KNO3, sulfur for the BP batches - this
time I used a new charcoal batch (freshly cooked). The
charcoal did not smell funny, nor do any of the other
ingredients. However, when I opened the milling jar
after the mill - I could smell ammonia. After an hour
or so I did not detect the odor anymore.
 
My KNO3 is 99% pure and so is the sulfur. I have been
using the same batch of KNO3 and sulfur for years.
Another charcoal batch from the same tree (cooked a
month or so ago) produced a "regular" smell of BP.

Just a little worried...
comments anyone???
