Actually the burn time for the rocket, (ignoring the
amount of end burn) will actually be about the same
amount of time for both the whistle/storbe and the BP
spindle because the powder burns outward, so assuming
the diameter of the spindle is about the same for both
sets, the length of the spindle won't create a
noticeable difference in burn time.
The difference in the two spindles will be in the
amount of thrust; the BP spindle will have
significantly more thrust than will the whistle/strobe
spindle.
